Bezier Option in NX 8.0

Is there any bezier option in the up coming NX8.0?

Not sure exactly what you mean by a "bezier option"?

UG/NX has supported Bezier Curves and Surfaces since we first implemented NURB geometry back in the late 80's. And while it might be true that you will not find the term 'Bezier' in any of our menus or dialogs, that does not mean that NX does not allow you to create Bezier Curves and Surfaces. For example, if you create a single-segment Spline by-poles, the result will be a Bezier curve. And multi-segment NURB curves and surfaces are made-up of individual Bezier curve segments and Bezier surface patches.

Hi John,

Thank you for the input.

I have an example, a surface with 3 segments. Pls refer attachment.

I want to divide this surface into 3 individual surfaces, each surfaces with 1 segment only.

I tried to use snip tools but have to approximate where is the knot lines. Then have to use xform to make them into 1 segment but will lose continuity. I have to use match edge tools to align them back.

The isoparametric trim tools also quite confusing.

How do i divide this surface accurately on the knot lines and without having to realign?

What version of NX are you currently using? Also, you will need to supply something more than a picture.

You don't understand, if you want an example of how to modify an NX surface model, you will need to supply at least a representative sample to work with. Also, why is it that you need to perform this task in the first place?

Why are you supplying a .stp version of a file originally created in NX? Why not the original NX file? If you're concerned about protecting your data may I suggest that you not use a public message board looking for help but rather contact GTAC directly where they can protect your data.
