Can anyone tell which is the biggest Automotive Player in world?

Toyota's asset is that much to buy Big Three's - Is this statement true? Can anyone give some supporting information

I am not sure if this question is appropriate for this forum.

GM $ 17 billion
F market cap 18 billion, but controlling shares are closely held
DCX 52 billion

So if T has 77 billion in loose change then it might have a shot. So far as I can tell it doesn't. Market cap is around 142 billion.

However, market cap is probably not very closely linked to what the takeover cost would be.

Some years it would be close to zero.

I should point out that my previous post is a very simplistic analysis, it would, in practice be a trivial exercise for T to buy any one of the others, financially. Why they'd want to I'm not quite sure, there again I never saw the logic in the DCX 'merger' either. The obvious target is F.
