Black roll underground poly pipe question

I'm guessing it is poly since that seems the be what most rolled pipe is. It is 1.375 to 1.380 OD. So what would the ID be? I'd think an ID of 1.25 would leave a very thin wall.

Typically you can find the information on the outside of the pipe. Not sure what the question actually is

Yes you can, but its not new stuff and only 4 foot long is exposed it has no information on it.
The question is. Is it a 1 inch ID?

You have to click on each chapter and it open with the option to download. You can't just download the whole lot in one go.

To answer your question you either need to measure the OD/ID, if not cut, guess at the ID, or dig up enough pipe to see the markings.

There is but one standard inside diameter sizing convention, SIDR , and this system
is based on the inside diameters of the Schedule 40 series of iron pipe sizes (IPS). But
there are four standard outside diameter sizing conventions and these are as follows:
• The outside diameters specified for iron pipe sized (IPS) pipe
• The outside diameters specified for ductile iron pipe sizes (DIPS)
• The outside diameters specified for copper tubing sizes (CTS)
• The outside diameters specified by the International Standards Organization
(ISO 161/1)

If you are trying to find fittings, you can select a mechanical coupler knowing only the OD and required pressure rating.

PE marking typically looks like below, spacing of these marks varies (4 to 6 feet is not unusual, it can be more), you were just unlucky to not expose a marked section of coil pipe.

WAVIN SUPASURE PE - BPS 225mm SDR 17 10bar 4-32-17 WATER 202 B 1 1 0 2002

This information is for a 225mm diameter, SDR17 10 bar rated polyethylene water pipe produced by Wavin. The manufacturing standard is WIS 4-32-17 and the manufacturing batch was 202 B 1 10 2002. BPS denotes the material supplier.
