What is the industy normal on black spots and grains generated from Poly film.

We use jumbo rolls, highest micron is 125mic. and lowest micron is 60mic. We use a 100% HF121 LLDPE Hexene copolymer with medium antiblock and medium slip blend.

Is it 5 per square meter, not to exceed a diameter of 300micron or
no black spots/grains at all?

I think it depends a lot on end use. Medical applications will be really picky, but for builders film or garbage bags, is probably not even mentioned in a spec.

Thank you kindly for your information supplied and my apologies I should have specified that we are in the food industry. We make 1000 litre liquid liner bags for transportation of orange juice, tomatoe paste and so on, during shipment abroad. So our end users require that there should be no Black stops or grains in the finished bag. However our poly manufacturers say it is impossible not to have no Black stops/ grains at all. Hence my question, we need to set a standard as to the amount of Black spots/grains generated during manufacture that should be reasonable, for both supplier and costomer to agree apon. A tangible standard that can be meet.

Ask a number of potential suppliers what they can supply at what cost then make a decision based on what is available and suitable and cost effective. Write the spec according to the suitable suppliers spec.
