BLE & BT Classic interference

Hi there, we are designing a fairly compact PCB for a communications device. We are looking at using BLE as a link for voice to a separate microphone, and BT Classic to be paired with a smartphone. We are using pre-certified modules, and they will located on the PCB about 20mm away from each other (can extend this to 40mm if need be). Is there a risk of interference between the 2? We are transmitting audio in both cases so interference would be particularly noticeably. They both operate at 2.4GHz, but I understand they have different frequency hopping techniques.

Direct interference at 2.4 GHz, always possible but probably not. Because the standards are precisely designed to avoid interference. It'd be worth lashing up a quick test using old fashioned rough and ready "brass board" prototyping techniques.

Subtle secondary effects, who knows...?

Why BLE? That's meant for short, intermittent bursts of small-packet info, not a continual stream like audio. BT Classic is the way to go for audio, no matter what the end-unit may be.

No issues with interference, though... a few weeks back I ran a test of 40 BT modules all running at once on a desktop without problems.
