Forgive me for my general question.

Because some special trouble I can't drill on the pump casing for temperature detection. someone advise me to use a bleed ring with RTD to detect.
Does anyone have experience on bleed ring with RTD for temp.detect? where to install bleed ring, how to install RTD. IS there any point that should be paid attention to?

sunloco,
Bleed rings are circular disks with a radial tapped hole on the circumference (see attached). Bleed rings are installed between flanges and are used to attach a bleed valve or a sensing line to the piping system. You would have to spread the pipe flanges up to 2” to install the ring and gaskets. I have never seen a temperature probe installed in a bleed ring but I guess it can be done if the bleed hole is big enough for the thermowell.

You could also plumb the bleed ring tap into a thermowell fitting, and then back to the tank (letting the flow "bleed" past the temp sensor continuously). Install a metering valve so you can adjust the flow, or put in an orifice...

install valve or put in an orifice? where can I put?

Use two bleed rings, one on the suction and one on the discharge. Bleed from discharge to suction. Use a valve or an orifice to control or limit the flow. Pass the flow over a thermowell with RTD.
If you have enough space use one bleed ring with a thermowell installed directly.
