boat storage 2

What density would you design a boat storage building? It is not rack storage, just on trailers. The building is 150'x150' pre-engineered steel building.

If it were cars, you could call it a garage and be OH1, but my gut says that is too light. OH2? EH1? Gut feeling that EH2 is overly heavy?

Any ideas on a Friday?

I think based on the fire loading, i.e. fiberglass, gasoline, etc, EX Haz 2 is not a bad idea. I think u will have a shielded fire depending on the size of the boats.

Sounds like EX Haz 2 is likely where it is going. No insurance underwriting help and AHJ said OH would be acceptable, so that was of no help as that didn't sit well with me.

We have had a few of these in our area and in my opinion should be classified as Group A plastics commodity.

I think that the size of the boat determines the risk.

I would agree that the amount of exposed plastics, even more so if the hull is fiberglass, need to be taken into consideration.
