I have a steam drum that we are doing some weld crack repairs on an internal baffle that attaches to the shell. We grinded a fillet weld down where the baffle attaches to the shell and re welded the fillet weld. I was thinking that this would not require a r stamp due to the fact that it is not a pressure retaing weld. Am I correct or do I need to fill out a r-1 and treat as a code weld for a r-stamp.
