Hi everyone!
Hope you are all doing great.
Recently, I have to design some bolt connection between two steel profiles for a simply supported beam, and I'm having some troubles on how to get the shear for the bolts conecting the steel profiles.
The bolts are intended to be bolted with a 500 mm spacing between them. I've attached some schemes of the problem below.
I remember some formulas for shear across the sections like
Tau= (V*Q)/(I*t)
but could someone please advise on how to properly apply this for this problem?
Any help will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
