We are building a product that clamps to tables and are looking for components for simple clamps but having great difficulty in sourcing the parts.

I need source for bolt with point\groove for retaining washer, clamp seats for end, The ideal bolt would have the sliding ball end bar like simple C clamps.

Any help is really appreciated.

appears as a simple project
why are you having difficulty with source.

what are the quantities?

This is new to me and I'm not in the industry. The product can be seen at (not spamming here)... but I've just had a very hard time finding these components. I guess I'm not looking in the right places.

J.W. Winco does not have it. Offered custom, not sure I want to go that route for 500 pcs a year.

You may well be better looking for assemblies. I once had to do a vaguely similar search for a thumbscrew with a groove for an e-clip. The best I got was someone willing to custom make them, but at least I was looking at tens of thousands per order.

the trouble is there are so many combinations of thread sizes, lengths, head types, where on the thread the groove is etc that completely off the shelf may not be realistic.

You might find someone that has semi off the shelf but customizable, Misumi does this for some items and might be worth a look.

Here are some more knobs. I would check with the companies that are manufacturers, like Reid, to see if they can provide your knobs as special. Normally these people minimums are fairly low.
