I'm looking for a standard that describes proper assembly for bolted joints. In particular, I'm looking for the proper specification, use and assembly of locking and flat washers. This will be used for structural and electrical (landing lugs and terminals)joints. Citation of a specific standard (ASME or other) is most helpful. Respond here or e-mail me at gpbeau@aol.com

Washer Hardness Value.
It is most important that a flat washer has a predetermined minimum harness value to ensure that the correct bolt/nut integrety values are achieved.
ISO standard 7089 (2000) is the new standard which refers for standard flat washers.
