Hello,
Is the Bolt's threads stripping erase the threads profile first (remove the material) and then leads towards breaking of the bolt by shearing.
Are Bolts threads stripping and shearing, the same phenomenon and the terms could be used interchangeably?
Or more precisely, shearing/breaking of the bolt is a advanced stage and is a result of the bolt threads stripping.

Your question is a little confusing- but stripping of bolt threads and shearing of the bolt shank are failures that happen due to load which are orthogonal to each other. In other words, if you're having both failures together you likely have two problems to solve.

Hello SwinnyGG,
Thanks for bringing a very good point and explaining the difference of the cause for Bolt Shank and Bolt threads shearing.
My original question was about Bolt Threads stripping/shearing. I came across the following explanation,

"Thread stripping, sometimes referred to as thread shearing, is when the shear stresses acting on the threads is such that the threads either shear completely so that the nut becomes detached, or partially, in which case the strength of the thread is severely impaired".

Referring to the question/clarification in the original post,

Yes, Bolt Threads Stripping or Shearing are the same, Shearing is the result of Stripping, when threads shear completely.

Most people think of shearing as a shear of the shank.
Stripping of threads due to tensile forces is complicated enough that you need to know bolt and nut thread class as well as bolt and nut material properties.
