Brake pad custom shape

Hello all,

I'm looking to have brake pads in very specifc shape (both backing plate and friction material). Anyone has reccomendation of companies that migth do this? We are looking at low quanties and therefore I assume that the big automotive companies will not be too interested.

Another possibilty would be to just get the friction material and glue it with some high strength adhesive.

Maybe you could start with an off-the-shelf larger brake pad and waterjet and/or mill to final shape.

Start big and cut it down was also my first thought.

A Google search for "custom brake pad manufacturers" returns a surprisingly large number of companies though.
