One of our sister companies is experimenting with using red brass (not sure of the exact grade) as a primary static sealing surface for a product continuously submersed in sea water (100-200 ft depth typical). From past lives I recall a patina developing in a short period on other products in these environments that make me question the integrity of the proposed seal but I have no direct experience with this exact combination. Any experience to pass along would be helpful.
