brass problem

I'm making a brass table for a beautician's salon. The customer wants it to look satin finish. Is there any thing that can be put on that will make the brass stay the finish we make, with out it oxidizing or discolouring. The people use acetone so clear lacquer will not work, looked all over and it seem only solution is to keep using brasso or something similar

That's just the nature of brass; it oxidizes because of the copper. Why do they want brass, given this issue?

Thanks for the reply, they want brass for fancyness,cosmetic reason it's for shops.

Talk to a powder coating shop, there are industrial powder coatings (e.g. for brass plumbing fixtures) that hold up to MEK and acetone.

Second btrueblood, some quick google action showed acetone resistant polyamide powder systems.

Here is a single part clear coat that can be applied directly to brass. The mfgr claims it is resistant to acetone. You can wet sand after application to knock down the gloss.
