I am using AutoCAD 2002LT. I am drawing Cable Harnesses. I have completely drawn a 7 foot cable in 1:1 scale that I need to print on an 11" x 17" piece of paper. In order to facilitate this, and allow for a clear print of the tiny connectors on either end of the cable (the reason for 1:1 scale) I need to create break lines in the middle of the cable to omit the middle portion of the cable. I am encountering problems doing this.

1) I cannot locate the AutoCAD LT command to create break lines.

2) If I draw 2 zig-zagged lines and then use the BREAK command to remove excess cable my dimention lines lose their anchors, flip to the right hand portion of the cable and therefore no longer reflect the fact that the cable is 7 feet long. Plus the zig-zagged lines have many zigs and zags, not just a zig-zag-zig configuration (which is the recommeded standard for a break line.)
