I'm looking for a detail of 48" ID manhole with an eccentric opening. I need this to be a cast in place structure and I need the eccentricity to occur near the bottom of the manhole. I need the taper to occur in order to avoid an existing utility. I would like to taper to a 24" opening at the top. Can someone please direct me to a detail?

Brick cannot be cast in place. Draw it like you want it and the brick layer will construct it.

Are you sure you can't use a precast structure? Contact a local manufacturer and describe your situation. They should be able to help you design a non-standard structure.

I think you are making a mountain out of a mole hill here.

You have the option of using a standard pre cast eccentric manhole ring or constructing something specific in-situ.

If you are constructing in-situ then simply design something that fits your situation. It is a one off and the costs of a robust one off design are not going have a major impact on your overall project costs!
