Is there any adverse effect when bronze comes in contact with concrete or steel?

Arahimian,

I don't expect to many problems with the concrete, but I see troubles with the steel (is it stainless or carbon steel ?) If the steel surface is more noble than the bronze, I expect that galvanic corrosion will occur, which will express itself as zinc leaching from the alloy close to the bronze/steel border. What is the ratio of the surface area of both metals ?

Thanks for your email. We are thinking stainless steel. The contact area will be about 1 to 2 sq. inch.

Arahimanian,

there is a risk of galvanic corrosion of the bronze. How large are the bronze and stainless steel surfaces which are exposed to the air/liquid ?
