I’m hoping to publish Bruhn Errata next year with eighty or ninety examples of errors, omissions, boo boos or suggested changes.
Examples:
Page A7.11 Truss with Pinned Joints
Check the last two columns in Table A7.3 for a slide rule error.
I calculate d1 = 0.027 inch and d2 = -0.006 inch If I’m right it’s only off by an order of magnitude.
Page C1.5 Tri-Axial or Three Dimensional Stresses
Article C1.10: Check to see if it is missing a txy^2 term. Thanks to Chris.
Page C1.9 Octahedral Shear Stress Theory
Top equation in right column ... portion in last parentheses should square each term within and not without.
I have not seen SparWeb’s B, C or E before. If I may include them and your real name or handle in the book there’s probably a coffee mug or free book in it for you.
