Hi
I am new to the forum and here is my question?
I am in the process of building a new house and when the contractor was making the foundation he used steel nails to tied to rebars pointing to the wood before pouring the concrete. I asked him to remove it but he didn't so after the concert was poured I find the nails sticking out of the foundation, about 1 cm .
He told me that he will use a sealer over it, I told him it's not 5 cm coverage.
So now I have low coverage and steel nails connecting the moisture from the sand into the rebars.
What can I do to fix this issues.
Can I just ruff the Scarface of the foundation and make him pour more concrete to cover the nails. Or should I use the Hilti recommendation and insert rebars then pour more concrete?
Thank you all
