Built-up roofing weight per thickness value

Does any have any value for the weight of a built-up roof per unit thickness?

I can find some weight (psf) values online for the various plies (3-ply, 4-ply, & 5-ply), but can't correlate this to a "weight per inch thickness" value since there is no direct relation (that I can see) between the number of plies to the thickness of the roofing.

The closest thing I can find is the density for a built-up roof = 63.73 pcf (

but this value seems really high for "approximate range" values I've seen.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for a weight per inch of built-up roof?

Why would you need a weight per inch of thickness?

ASCE 7 in the commentary has tables on built-up roofs, whether they meet reality or are from 1967 and haven't been updated, I can't say. Or you can look for a manufacturer spec as a lot of those will have weights per square for flood coat and gravel, because most of the mass comes from the asphalt, not the "felt."
