Hello All,
I have a couple of questions on the variable defined under setting calculation for Vr in the SEL-587Z manual:
1. RCT is defined as 'the CT secondary winding and lead resistance up to the CT terminals' - The CT winding resistance is available from the CT specs, the additional lead resistance mentioned here is this the wire from the node back to the CT's?
2. Rlead is defined as one-way resistance of lead from junction points to the most distant CT's. Attached is a snapshot of switchgear for example. In the picture the relay is in the section 3 upper cubicle. here is one more section not shown in the capture section 5. What is a junction point since in this switchgear all the lower section CT wires are brought to section 3 lower and then connected to the relay? Will the Rlead be the distance from section 5 lower cubicle to section 3 junction point. Assuming section 3 is junction point.
