bush material for stainless pin

i have a component that has a duplex 2205 pin sliding axially in a pair of bushes. it is unlubricated out in the field and runs a fair bit of clearance to keep build up from happening. what is a good bushing material to stop galling and corrosion and help it run freely without lubricant?

What is around to cause corrosion? Water? Chemicals?
Any reason to not use a bronze?

Nitronic 60 is a good pairing with most types of stainless steel. I don't know about 2205 specifically.

Depending on your loading conditions, you might be able to use Vesconite bushings. It will outlast many metallic bushings in unlubricated applications.

Good thought DG, there are a whole bunch of polymer bushing materials out there.
A high lead brass or bronze is the old school approach, likely a polymer one will be better.
While Nit 50 or 60 would work, I am not too excited them in an unlubricated situation.

@Edstainless not sure about plastic being better, might be cheaper, but not better,
What is the temperature range.
What is the duty cycle. 20% or 80%
What is temperature of motor and what size?
Weight?

Many of the engineered reinforced self-lubricating polymer bearings are very good.
Their biggest weakness is either chemical attack or high temperatures.

In the right applications polymer bushings can outlast the best metallic ones. OP has told us next to nothing about the application.

its a spring loaded latching pin on moving storage device gate, little rotation predominalty axial motion to open and close only subject to rain and dirt. the loading is dynamic lateral tip loading that would radially load the bush heavily plus when in motion there is small relative movement that may cauase fretting has the gate is spring loaded so the pin and bush are loaded slighty when closed
