Hello everyone.
We have a Bystronic Byspeed 3015 5.2 kW laser in our company. An error appears every now and then:

The leakage test gives a result of 3...4.5 hPa per hour, but the gas pressure reading in the resonator is stable and does not fluctuate by more than 1...2 hPa. Can such a leak test result cause these types of errors?

It could be a leak, a weak vacuum pump or a combination of both. Does it happen more often in fastmix? Feel free to call or txt for help 706-627-7854

Most often shortly after launch, so in fastmix. The error also occurs when the excitement modules are turned on but the ignition is not yet (in step on mode). The vacuum pump works well and empties the resonator efficiently. What makes me wonder is that the leak test gives different results each time: sometimes it is 2 hPa/h, other times it is 4 hPa/h, and sometimes it was over 10. The manufacturer states that it should be <=1 hPa/h. So I suspect a leak. I have extensive experience in servicing Mazak 7/8 generation lasers and I know their weak points, but I do not have much experience in Bystronic. If you can tell me where the leaks most often occur, it will be a great help. Of course, the yellow tubes have been checked, because I know that they break at the ends.
