Hello,
I have problem with 2006. year bystar (4.4KW). I can cut, but the problem is with shutter opening and closeing. Seems like laser dont know, is shutter open or closed position. When i cut with stop part or stop cut then after the hole in detail or detail contour, machine have a error: E7 The shutter is locked in the "open position".
I checked in resonator cabinet how shutter works when machine is cutting. When it starts cutting, shutter go in open position and stays there. Shutter stand up at the piercing time and will close, when part is ready. When there are holes, then it will stay open all the time. I have on the plate 100 parts and shutter will open with first part and will close, when last part is done.
I did vacuum test- everything is ok.
Tested signal from two magnet sensor, what are measuring position of shutter – seems that they work as well.
We moved shutter by hand – it looks it moves lightly.
I made small video where you see what problem i have:

Hello Steve,

My error code book says the following for the E7 error....
The lifting cylinder has been moved by hand. Check for manual operation. Controller error. Then the usual Contact Bystronic Customer service.
Didn't know it was possible to take manual control over the shutter but I will look into it. I'm sure krugtech will have the answer for you before I can find it.

If you ask me to do something, I will do it. There's no need to nag me every 6 months

Problem fixed!
Shutter was moving too slow back to close position, controller gave an error because of too much waiting time.
The problem was dirty pneumatic cylinders, which moves the shutter. Cylinder cleaned, shutter tested, no error came anymore.

those 2 rods that stick out the top, they need to be cleaned and very lightly lubricated. make sure your dehumidifier is outputting water and there are no leaks in the resonator. This is a fairly common problem
