Hello,

Bystronic Bytube 3kw laser with 35000hours on it.

We have strange problem, one part could be cut ideally and another one is not cut in all areas.

It looks like laser doesn't have enough power or the power level is jumping drastically.

You can see in our video that there is no sparks on normal cutting and then they appear. It all happens on the same contour. Sparks starts at 11 second.

We tried cutting mild steel 6mm and stainless steel 5mm. The result is the same. Some parts are very nice and some is impossible to remove.

On resonator I see power level , which maximum is around 2600W.

Testing gas blow shows correct behavior during cutting and in hand mode with cross jet.

Maybe you have a suggestion where to look for a problem?

I have cleaned, cheeked and replaced mirrors from resonator to cutting head.

do you know how to do a power test? 2600 watts from a 3000 watt is not good. The current should be around 67 at full power.

Hi, how to do this power test?

I know how to to set power on resonator to 100% (Local & Step)

the resonator should be run for at leat 90 minutes after starting to insure it gets out of the fastmix stage. Then go to 100% power and watch the current and power reading. Also, open the top of the resonator and look at the discharge, if it is unstable you most likely have a gas problem. if the discharge is stable but the power is low, most likely an optics problem.

Thanks,
I will do that tomorrow. I have made vacum test today, it changes 1 milibar in 30 minutes.

Hi,

laser was running for 3 hours and I did power test. Current was: 67 and Power: 2469W.

There were no lighting inside glass tubes. And flow was normal.

Any suggestions what to do next? To check all mirrors in resonator?

By the way I notice strange problem when we start resonator it always shows power around 550W on idle work, but after an hour of running this power decrease up to 350W
