Cable Capacitance Calculation 1

We are trying to calculate 35KV cable capacitance. Total length is 10km, size 500MCM. Shielded, C=50pf/ft, frequency 60hz. As per the formula,

Xc=10^12/2x3.14x60x50x10000x3.28=1618 Ohm. This seems to be too high. Any comments on this?

Your math looks correct to me fwiw

Rough rule of thumb: cable charging current is about 1 Amp/km. 1618 Ohms @ 35 kV is 12.5 Amps, so you are right in the neighborhood.
