Cabling/Harness tutorial/learning resources?

Does anyone have any resources for someone trying to learn cabling? (please dont point me to PTC's paywall training, I know its there)

My company's standard procedure is no harnesses in our 3D CAD, only 2D cable drawings

as our product is getting more complex this is leading to many more issues with our vendors and the production team.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
