CAD Connection with Unigraphics NX2

Hi,
I'm experiencing problems with the CAD Connection between Ansys Workbench and Unigraphics NX2.
Trouble is that the faces' IDs are never maintained during model update, neither using the "reader" mode, neither using the "plugin" mode, so I loose contacts, loads and restraints every time.
I even tried to open WB from UG and keep both opened during all the session: things work like a charme at the first time, but when I introduce a change in UG (a simple rotation of a valve rotor inside its housing) and then give "update" in WB, it's just like if the model was re-imported from scratch, thus loosing IDs, loads, contacts, etc...
I read read and re-read the user manual, but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong (or what the program is doing wrong...).
Any help is really appreciated,

thanks in advance,

regards

Cbrn,
I'm not a master of knowledge in this subject but I do know that if you make a change large enough to change the surface numbers within the CAD model that you'll lose your FE loads and bc's because of this. When you change a hole diameter, fillet radius, or something simple like that surface numbers remain constant. It sounds like this may not be the case here. Is it possible to make your change in a different way? Is the change being done parametrically within UG?

Hi,
yes, I'm aware of che change-of-IDs problem, but as you say this is not the case here, because I'm just varying an angular position of one component with respect to the others.
The modification is parametric in UG; I could do that in Ansys Classical with appropriate named selection, cylindrical CSYS and Move command, but as you can understand it seems like shooting at a fly with a cannon...
Moreover, the manual implies that if using correctly the "reader saves updated CAD file" option in WB, the ID assignment should keep coherent, so I'm pretty sure that I myself am doing something wrong.

Thank you for your reply,

Regards
