CAESER II Cnodes not working no forces at node in restraint summary?

Hi Guys,

I am modelling a section of pipework that is connected to a nozzle on a heat exchanger vessel with the aim of checking nozzle loads with and without a spring hanger. In order to account for the thermal expansion of the vessel I have modelled the exchanger as rigid elements fixed to an anchor at the vessel fixed support. The pipework then proceeds from the rigid elements as normal.

My problem is that I have defined another rigid anchor at the nozzle connection as a cnode but I cant seem to get the forces in the restraint summary? (see attached Jpeg)

Nodes 10-60 define the rigid elements with an ANC at node 10

Nodes 60 onwards define the piping with an ANC defined at node 60 but 601 in the Cnode box.

When I pull up my restraint summary I am expecting to see values in X, Y, Z etc at node 60 but they are all 0? the displacements however seem to be working and these have non 0 values at node 60.

Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks for your help!

Kind regards,

Nick

Hi,

I had not changed the next node to be starting from 601 and it was still connected to 60.

This appears to have been the problem.

Cheers,

Nick
