I work for a company, and we have a bunch of scanned engineering drawings that are in the form of .CAL files. One of my co-workers uses a program that is called myriad to view the drawings. This is a good program, as it definitely has many different types of file formats that you can view with it, but you cant actually edit the scanned document. I am looking for a program that will allow me (and my co-worker), not only to be able to view .CAL files, but we also want to be able to add things to the document. Obviously, the scanned drawings cant be changed themselves, but I want to be able to create text boxes, and then add some numbers, or make a small box, and put some information in the box, and then just re-save the drawing with this additional information included. Could anybody recommend me a program that would be capable of doing this for us?
Again stating what we need exactly from the program.
1. The ability to open and view .CAL files
2. The ability to add text information (or maybe arrows and boxes) to the document, and then resave it with the new information included in the doc.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
