Calculate stress vectors from S11, S22, et al in ABAQUS script

Hi everyone,

I got a problem calculating the stress vectors from the FieldOutput['S']. I calculated the MAX_PRINCIAL and MIN_PRINCIPAL stresses from the S11, S22, S33, S12 in a CPS4R shell element set. But I cannot get the direction of the stress vectors.

Does anyone can help me to get understand how to calculate the stress vectors from the S11, S22 and S12 data? S33 is zero.

Maybe symbol plots available in Abaqus/Viewer could help you with that. And they can be accessed using scripting as well.
