I have created a 3D space curve using the Law Curve function following a x(t), y(t), z(t) parametrization in UG NX6. The curve is the path of a slide. Is there anyway to use UG to analyze or assist in the analysis of the the normal acceleration at various points?

Go to...

Analysis -> Geometric Properties...

...and place the cursor over the point of interest on the curve as you read the 'Radius of Curvature' directly (and dynamically) in the 'Results' panel or if you actual select a point on the curve the listing window will provide the results in a form which can be printed, copy & pasted from or saved as a text file.

Thanks! That works and was very helpful.

I also found that you can go to Analysis->Curve->Graph and it will dump a bunch of curvature data into Excel.
