Welding 6" 10S Pipe 3.4mm WT 316(L), MDMT is down to -43°C. The area I struggle is how to calculate the Stress Ratio. We are warmer than or equal to -104°C. It says stress ratio as defined in para. 323.2.2(B). I don't understand Temperature Reduction in 323.2.2B. Is that plus or minus? If it's plus it shows the temperature hotter, then we would be okay for stress ratio. The design is set to 300°C, Operating is at 150°C. Can anyone help is determined if this is correct? We want to use a procedure that doesn't have impact testing down to -196°C
