This is new to me in Solidworks, measuring the volume of an assembly's inside cavity. It is a trailer, and we are measuring the volume it holds. I tried using the Mold Tool, but the Mold Tool Toolbar is greyed out. So, I am now recreating the inside manually. I can't seem to find a way to measure the angle of two walls. How do I do that?

Thanks,

Create a part in context that envelopes the the whole trailer assembly. Then while editing in context do insert/molds/cavity, then select the parts that you want their volume to be subtracted from the newly created part. The final out come should be a part that represents the empty space in the trailer. Go to you tube and check out some of the examples that use the cavity feature. Make sure that are in in context edit mode in the assembly or the cavity feature will be inaccessible.

Cheers,

Samuel
