Hi everyone, and thanks in advance for any consideration given in answering my question(s).

In September I'll be submitting a PE registration application with the state in which I currently reside.

Anticipating the application process will likely take a few months to complete, once it is done I would like to then get licensed in California.

I've not been able to locate any information as to how long the application review process is taking these days in California so could someone here who has been licensed there let me know what the approximate wait might be for their application review process please?

Are these just comity/reciprocity applications? The way you worded things leads me to believe you aren't needing to wait for a testing cycle, but it is likely that if this is your first time being licensed in California, you'd at least need to take the Seismic and Surveying tests. Last I heard, those are still only offered twice a year.

When I applied in California (a few years ago now), the application took about 5 weeks to process.

Thanks....I have successfully tested for the civil exam in the state where I reside and should have added the clarification that I will need to do the seismic/survey exams for CA. Knowing that, once those two exams are taken care of, the process is likely to be somewhere in the area of 5 weeks is what I needed to know.

doh....sometimes a phone call is helpful. Called the CA board, got a very helpful person who told me it could be up to 2 months for the review process. HTH anyone else wondering about the process.
