Callout System

Hey guys, I am new to this forum. We are probably going to install a SLC system with a Rockwell HMI (RS View). We need a callout system to page operator and that page needs to let him know what the problem is (up to thirty different points). My plan is to use discrete outputs do initiate calls.
My question is what are some good systems to use for generating calls (remember I need up to thirty distinct outputs) Thanks

Remote access paging modem will text message a cell phone based on bit level alarms.

If you have that many distinct alarms you should use a software package like Win911

http://www.specterinstruments.com/

It is a very flexible software if you have different numbers for different alarms and times, also you can send email alerts as well as voice or text messages.

Thanks for your posts. Win 911 looks like a good option. Another is using a dialer operated of a dry contact. Any more input is definitely welcomed.

You may use U.C.ME-OPC from Control-See Software Solutions.
It may connect to any SCADA that supports OPC or DDE server functionality. You may send alarms to a cell phone, pager, email, fax or play the alarm to the PC Audio.

Ans it is bidirectional. You may send a text message from your cell phone to query or change a tag value.

Rockwell has a software package that I believe is an add on for the RSView. Wonderware also has one as well (SCADAlarm). I have not used either one, but it would check them out. It will save the cost of wiring and DO modules but you will need a modem.

From what I investigated, they will send text messages and voice calls. The Wonderware one would allow remote acknowledge.

Worth a look.
