Hello

Can anyone tell me that if it is ok for 4 inch Electric deep well pump with oil motor single phase 220/50hz pumping oil in oil industry?

Any information and suggestion will be appreciated

Thank you.

if so, Why there are Electric Submersible well Pumps can be used in the Oil and Gas Industry?

220V will severely limit your power due to the size of the cable required.

your question is quite vague and short of details which affects the answers you will receive.

Also: There's usually a good reason why everyone does it that way

A "submersible well pump" is generically understood to be intended for water wells, and a great deal of the motor cooling comes from the case being submerged in relatively cold water. Oil being a much less effective heat transfer fluid would not give the same degree of cooling to such a motor, thus using it in an oil well might (quite probably) not work.

I'd be concerned about both the voltage and the fluid temps. Seen a lot of them tried, not many succeed. Stick with industrial equipment designed for oil wells. Medium voltage (say 4K V) works better than homeowner voltage, bigger bearings and more stages are crucial, paying attention to minimum NPSH is really a big deal.

Electric Submersible Pumps (look up ESP pumps) have been used for years to pump oil from oil wells. Go look at Reda pumps or ESP pumps, there are many brands ( I think they've played Corporation roulette with a few brands, so the names may have changed.)

As btrueblood alluded to; you sound like you are talking about throwing an everyday water well pump downhole to use for pumping oil. Of course with no info.....we have to assume. Certainly you would never try that???? Think 300' deep as opposed to over many thousand feet deep.

Think temperature, solids, reliability....and how in the world would you make it up to the production tubing?? Do you really think it would survive the trip downhole? Nope.

Now imagine running any equipment using a 10,000' extension cord.....
This is why 3phs 1,00-4,000V motors are used, to get to the lowest currents possible.
These units also run hot, often 450F internal temp.
In some cases the lift requirements may be up to 14,000', with over 750hp installed.
A far cry from water well pumps.
