Can I copy text in Femap?

I need to do something that I have never done before in Femap.

I have a view with several textboxes. What I would like to do is to duplicate them so I can edit the text in the boxes. The required end result is two textboxes at the same location with slightly different content. The boxes will be in different Layers so I can illustrate different results and comments.

Is there any way to simplify this work?

Thanks

Why do you even want to consider doing this in FEMAP, when doing it in MSWord will take 60 seconds? Faster than it took you to write your post above??

First of all, the amount of time required depends on the amount of data to input :).

If I use MSWord I will input the text on i "dead" picture, right? That works if the picture doesn't change but it does in this case.

In Femap I can input the text and orient it based on a position in the model. If I zoom or move the model in the view the text will stay in the correct position. I had a number of textboxes that I wanted to duplicate and then use different layers to show different results. I have now done it and it took more than 60 seconds :) but it involved several models and different setups. It wasn't fun but it is now done.

Well, done then!
Your reports are probably more sophisticated than mine.
A power-user of FEMAP, I ain't.

Dear Thomas,
This is a good enhacement request for FEMAP: actually do not exist any COPY command applied to TEXT, the only trick I suggest is to repeat the TOOLS > TEXT command and use the same VIEW POSITION - TEXT ORIGIN location updating the LAYER in every new text task, I will send a request to FEMAP developers, thanks!.
Best regards,
Blas.

PD
I use TEXT command to set useful information in screen: for instance, FEMAP do not store in any place the ELEMENT SIZE used to mesh a surface or solid body, so what I do is to write this information in the screen as a TEXT detailing all the information, like global element size, local element size, etc.., this info is for me.
But also the TEXT command can be used in many ways to report results, detaling loads & boundary conditions used, etc..

Dear Blas,
Sorry for the late reply.
I agree that if would be a nice enhancement to be able to copy text. When it became possible to position the pointers or text based on the position in the model, that changed things for me. Then I could make the text follow the model instead of having the text as a static object and the movement of the model very limited.

Best regards,
Thomas
