Can I delete smart component folders in 2007?

Hello,

Is it possible to delete the folder that contains smart components without deleting the components and features? or can I insert without the folder and still maintain the external relations?

The second best alternative would be to be able to put Smart Component folders "under" a created folder in the tree. I thought that that was mentioned at our 2007 SW roll-out, but I must be wrong.

No I don't think you remove that folder and keep the parts.

Thanks...that's what I was seeing, but I thought I had been told different.

And I can't put that folder under or "in" another created folder? I also thought that was new functionality for SW 2007...
