I am putting a presentation together for a job. I would like to include some of the RISA output, such as deflected shapes, and the animations that RISA generates. I know that I can capture screenshots of the stills, but the quality isn't very good. I can't see any way to capture the animations, however. Can anybody offer help on this?

Thank you

RISA does not have any utilities for recording and / or exporting these animations. However there are 3rd party programs that specialize in these types of screen captures.

I believe we used to use a program called Lotus ScreenCam. It sold for something like $79. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it exists anymore.

There are other products out that that do similar things. They seem to be a bit more expensive these days (a quick search brought up 2 or 3 products in the range of $290). There has to be cheaper / shareware versions of these programs. But, I don't know of any specific ones. Anyone else know of decent screen capture software that can be used for this purpose?!

You deserve a star for that one. :)

There used to be a lot of reasonably priced screen capture software like this available. But, it seems like most of them have gotten really really pricey lately. It's nice to know that there are still some programs out there for a reasonable price.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link, RC. I will check it out. On another note -- I tried Jing; ( ) It was TERRIBLE. i am running Vista, so maybe that was part of the problem, but after I installed Jing, my computer graphics card crashed every time I started the computer. It took me a good half-day to get the thing completely un-installed.

Thanks again
