A few of us at work just worked out how to install Catia V5 R15 on a Vista machine. It seems to run fairly well to. What we did, was installed Catia in safe mode. That will allow you to actually install it on the machine. To get it to run properly, you will have to ensure that your graphics card supports open GL. Despite what most people believe, Vista, fully supports Open GL, you do have to check to make sure that your graphics card driver supports open GL with Vista. You may have to go into your graphics card application and change the 3D settings to open GL. The install process would probally still be valid for R17 as well, but we have not tried it.
jrhagen - we also tried earlier versions, what we did was to create a link on the desktop of the installation file and run it as administrator, that worked good.
Yep, but V5R17, as well as any version of CATIA before R18SP4, is not supported by Dassault. That goes to say that any problems you have with the soft you will not get any help. This subject matter has been thorougly discussed in this and many other forums, unless you are a developper or a partner, you really dont have any interest in fiddling with Vista.
