I usually develop objects in 3D. I then need to print 2D images. I usually end up tracing over the lines in a 3D object to get a 2D image so that I can control hidden lines and dimension lines, etc. Also, Dimension lines get shifted to a different plane than the 2D image??

If you have the express tools install use the "laydel" command.

Do a google search on AutoCad express tools, you should find a site where you can download the express tools.

fordbluechevyred.....Looks like we were having the same issue..I have not had the need for this for a while, but I will be needing it again. Were you able to figure out how to delete layers and re-create 2d views after a change was made to the solid?

Perfect world...I would like to make the minor changes to the solid and just hit the "setup drawing" button again and have the changes take affect. If there is no way to do this, I would like to find the least painful approach.
