can i used hydro carbon serive valve istead liquid service valve the valve have same cv

i have fuel control valve 1' reduced bore 3/4" have ascertain cv service fluid is hydro carbon gas
and I have at some where automatic drain valve have same size and bore size service hydro carbon liquid installed and scrubber drain
can I used the first valve instead the second valve the two valve have same size and same cv but different in service media which handling

depends Cv is the same but some of the materials in the valve may not be suited.
