Is it possible to save to a lower version of NX from NX4? I did not see it in the normal save as function.

Do a search, and you will realize that this is not possible, or even reasonable. How is NX2 supposed to intertpret the evolution to NX4? It would have no frame of reference. Best bet is to use parasolids (but check the version before export).

It is not possible to do a normal "Save As" to an older version of NX, however, there is a way to move the solid and surface models from a newer to an older version (note that there will be no history or feature graph moved, only the model topology).

In the version of NX where your model is currently accessable, open the file and go to File/Export/Parasolid... and in the version setting you can select the "target" version of UG/NX that you desire. Once a model has been exported, start a session of your older vresion of NX and open an empty file and perform a File/Import/Parasolid.... and import the Parasolid modeling into the empty part file.

Note that starting in NX 4, you will be to open a Parasolid file directly into NX using the regular File/Open... dialog.
