Can steam at ~450C be corrosive to carbon steel, low alloy steel or stainless steel? And it would produce creep of steel? Can steam decompose into hydrogen and oxyen? Thanks a lot.

Creep of low alloy steel will ocurr upon continuous exposure to 450 deg C service conditions.

Regarding steam service at 450 deg C, there is oxygen present to some extent that will result in oxidation. There was an excellent technical paper available over the Internet that listed corrosion rates in steam service for various steels;
