Can sustaining engineers change production drawings without product development engineers' knowledge 2

I am a product development engineer working with this company and found something interesting: once I developed a product and it's in production, any sustaining engineer can change the drawings/parts without my knowledge. I am just wondering if this is also the case in your company or if this is considered as normal? Then why I have to go through all the design review process and sustaining engineers don't have to? Any ISO code says you can't do this? Thanks!

Insert is an interesting word: sounds like I don't belong there...
As IRstuff suggested, I can leave the company tomorrow, and so do the sustaining team and the service team, right?

It shouldn't really be a matter of inserting oneself, just as sustaining should have representation in product design's design reviews, FMEAs, etc so should product design have representation in sustaining's design reviews, FMEAs, etc.

I'd highly recommend reviewing your employer's product release and inspection process documents including process FMEAs to see how each process is supposed to work within your company, ensure that you are following them, and document when others aren't as a simple CYA. Should your products maim/kill someone or cause large monetary loss you don't want to be the guy that skipped critical process steps.

I only know currently there is no such process so everybody can change the drawings without product design's knowledge. Many things happened already but I don't have the power to change anything just like they can't blame me because I have nothing to do with the changes.
