My boss came up to me today and asked me if rubber could be cut on the Amada. Does anyone have any expeirence in doing so? Its definately rubber with an adhesive backing on it. We're trying to make gaskets for a company we do business with. The correct material name is Buna or Viton.
Thank You for your time everyone!

sure rubber can be laser cut. almost anything can be laser cut. it creates alot of smoke and the shop stinks for days after. turn off height regulation (trace off) on my machine, set your head height about 3/4 inch and play around with speed and your offsets for size accuracy. open some doors and turn on your exhaust

drossfree,
What is your expierence with aluminum on your amada? I would love to start cutting aluminum but have no idea on what gas or settings i should be using, if you have any start point on where i could just get started that would be great!
Thank you for your time!

aluminium is a tough one with only 2000w but i would use shop air as an assist gas similar to ss cut conditions but about half the speed.
