Can two persons work on same project one in model one in sheet

We are file sharing from a server and have not found a method of having one person working on the model (.___asm) and parts (.___prt)whilst another person working on the drawing and title block (___drw). Has anyone a solution to such a problem. This of course is using two platforms of solidworks loaded onto two different pc sharing the files from a common server. We already can do the parts seperatly.

PDMWorks that's the only way your going to be able to share a file (to my knowledge). You can this same problem if you try to share a Word Doc. Only one person can open it with Write Access and the other one gets Read-only.

PDM works for parts no problem but were talking drawing and model. Seems to be a problem with borking the model and the drawing.

I think you are pretty much correct. some PDM sytems will allow for this, and it may also depend on if you have "allow model changes from the drawing" turned on in SW. There is a limit to what you can do concurrently due to logical issues. It is possible, but you don't want to make certain types of changes to the model while it is being drafted. If you do, the drafter will just have to redo a lot of stuff as soon as they copy the updated model files out of the vault. Views should update OK. but dimensions and some other things might get iffy.

Also I would not want to think about RapidDraw!!!!
