Can you associate a leader to part of a model

I just upgraded to NX8 a little ago. When I attach a leader line it doesn't seem to follow the line or cross hatch I place it on. If I change the view scale, or change dimensions the leader doesn't move with it. I can get the text and note to follow the view. I would like to have the leader for a note be associative where if an object in the model changes the leader stays connected.

I assume that we're talking about the leader for a note (label), correct?

First, make sure, particularly if you're working in the Master Model Mode, that the 'Selection Scope' option on the Selection Bar is set to 'Entire Assembly'.

Second, try actually selecting the 'Select Terminating Object' item in the 'Leader' section of the Note dialog before picking the start/origin of the leader.

I actually had to toggle on the selection points right next to the selection bar that said entire assembly. You pointed me in the right direction though.
